Typically, this mouse will be connected to a PS\/2 port, COM 1 or COM 2. The second mouse must be connected to a free COM port. This must be either COM 1 or COM 2.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In the options there is a mouse information displayed:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ofp-faguss.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/settlers2_mouse_info.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-48\" title=\"Settlers2 mouse info\" src=\"http:\/\/ofp-faguss.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/settlers2_mouse_info.jpg\" alt=\"Setters mouse info\" width=\"240\" height=\"98\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I assume that the game is detecting machine and tells you where the controllers should be connected.<\/p>\n<p>For <a title=\"DOSBox main page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dosbox.com\/\">DOSBox<\/a> open configuration file\u00a0<em>dosbox-0.74.conf<\/em> in a text editor. Search for <em>serial1<\/em> and change its value to:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-family: Courier New;\">serial1=directserial realport:comX<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Where X is the number of the COM port set in Device Manager. This allows to assign any number in Windows and DOSBox will redirect it to the first emulated port.<\/p>\n<p>That is all. It should work now.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ofp-faguss.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/settlers2_multiplayer_gameplay.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-47\" title=\"Settlers2 Multiplayer gameplay\" src=\"http:\/\/ofp-faguss.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/settlers2_multiplayer_gameplay-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Settlers multiplayer\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ofp-faguss.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/settlers2_multiplayer_gameplay-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ofp-faguss.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/settlers2_multiplayer_gameplay.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Multiplayer is only possible through &#8220;Unlimited Play&#8221; (custom game) which is weird because the first game allowed you to play campaign together.<\/p>\n<p>Set &#8220;Player 2 Mode&#8221; to &#8220;Human&#8221;. Option &#8220;Alliances&#8221; changes game type to either &#8220;Death Match&#8221; or &#8220;Co-op&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Second player&#8217;s keyboard shortcuts are bound to the numpad.
